Old Kent Reliance Easy Access account issues
fly-catchers
I read recently that from today older Kent Reliance Easy access accounts would pay 3.25% interest. As I had an old one which I left £1 in a few years back I decided to see if that was true. I can still access it but there is no option to withdraw money. But not sure whether that's because I only have £1 in it. I don't want to risk transferring £1000 across which is the min for the higher rate if I can't easily withdraw it again! So tried sending another £1 across from the nominated bank I had set up to fund it originally. So far it hasn't appeared but I do seem to remember that money withdrawals were only actioned at 3pm or thereabouts! Not sure whether its worth the risk as I currently hold most of my cash elsewhere where its getting 3.05% Anyone currently using Kent Reliance?

They're OK even though they had longer phone wait times when rates were peaking last year. There may be a reason why withdrawing to zero balance without closing is blocked - with only £1 balance its prob better to make a small transfer in to check the bank details.
Normally funds get credited same working day but banks that use another bank to hold the account do tend to batch transfers and account updates - I'm waiting on one today and a little surprised it still hasn't shown up yet.1 -
The minimum operating balance is £1. I've only ever had £1000+ or £1, and the ability to withdraw is available only when my balance is above £1.
I made a deposit just after midnight this morning (24 Feb) and at 09:13 AM, received notifications (via email/SMS) of a successful deposit. I logged in, and the option to withdraw was available.
