Santander 1/2/3 lite account. No cashback this month

I moved to Santander a few months ago and have received my cashback for my energy, water, council tax and broadband every month until this month. All the DD went out on time. And they still applied the £2 charge on the usual date. But no cash back. Any ideas? What is the best way of contacting them as I tried the online chat and that is obviously AI and doesn’t understand anything that isn’t covered by its script!

The bot is useless try 0800 1712171 8 -8 Monday to Friday

Within your last statement period:

• £500 paid in?
• At least two direct debits paid out?
• At least one cashback-eligible direct debit paid out?

Logged into online/mobile banking within the past three statement periods?

I always get my £2 charge a working day or two before they pay the cashback.

I think I missed topping up my account to £500 as I see the “month” starts when you open the account not a calendar month. Lesson learnt!

You have to pay £500 in each month not top it up to £500.  You can withdraw it afterwards.

I got caught by this when I converted to 123 lite for the double fuel cash back, I put in a complaint about the missing cash back. As part of handling the complaint, they changed it so that the period starts on the 14th. Previously it was the 2nd and direct debits and transfers could fall either side of that.

Interesting. I forgot about the £500 requirement and have been paying in only £450 since Nov 2022 when winter fuel help started. There is no other pay-in listed in my statements. Seem to get the cashback OK for the months since.
