My friends are going to the cinema. Just had a look at the reviews/trailer for Fableman and the reviews aren't very good. Had a look at the trailer and it isn't my type of film, so I've decided not to go.

Hi everyone,

I was too busy to get on the laptop yesterday. We had two visitors arrive and went out for a delicious birthday lunch. Laura got some lovely presents but the one that made us laugh a lot was from Steve's nephew and family, a bottle of Kylie Minogue pink prosecco. Laura works in the drink industry and has a number of cases of vintage champagne, some of which she brought down to celebrate with. I assume it was meant it as a joke.

I made the cake, I'm sure Paul Hollywood would have pronounced it underbaked (not used to a gas oven), but it was delicious nevertheless. Esben told us he loves singing happy birthday and he helped to blow out the candles.

Today, we have four more friends arriving to celebrate and they will all be going out for a meal, leaving me and Steve looking after the children, keep your fingers crossed that Esther will take a bottle if need be.

Hello all, the sun is out today but it's blummin cold in the wind. Yesterday it popped it's head out for a while too so I did the washing and dried it mostly on the line, then aired it overnight upstairs. It should be dry and ready to sort and put away this morning as it's been in the sunshine which comes through the front window.
I have some dusting and hoovering of the downstairs to do today, nothing too taxing as I'm still suffering, sorry not in silence 😁. I'm really fed up with being ill now, it feels like it's been one thing after another since xmas. We're having a takeaway tonight too so no cooking 😁
Gers well done on your forward thinking, I too hope that it's not needed for very many years. I'm glad you enjoyed your treat too.

Morning all late one from me managed a lay in now am running late will sort out my time better . I have called virgin pure regarding our water machine so an engineer will be coming on Wednesday as it seems to have a leak from underneath. The carpet man came yesterday and put the missing bars back that went when we had the parquet flooring restored in the hallway so a couple of jobs sorted . My carpenter is now running out of time the jobs i asked him to do since Nov i still have no quote and he keeps saying he needs to come and see me so i have decided seeing as i haven't heard from him since mid Jan that end of Feb is the cut off and we will have to do the jobs ourselves not great but i need to get on .
Gers DH and I have a plan in place as after loosing mum during covid and not being able to follow her wishes i just wanted to make it as simple and easy for the children as i could its not an easy thought but can save a lot of heart ache for those left behind

Back again to wish Scarlet a Happy Birthday, Snoozers Laura for yesterday, have I forgotten anyone,if so sorry.

Also thank you for the birthday wishes for DH yesterday Seems there are quite a few birthdays around now .

Had a lovely lunch at the garden centre but it was so busy in the cafe. Posted a card and gift card for DGNephew for next week, he'll be 4. Potted up the bits I got when we got back as it was nice and sunny,& now having a rest before we head out for DGS tournament around 4. Taff hope you're enjoying your lazy day.
