Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Very dark start to the day.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner was shepherds pie, veg and gravy. Not sure about tonight.
Now on days off until Monday.
Have plenty of chores to do.

Morning All
Thanks for the start nmlc, enjoy your day off.
Damp out at the moment but hoping for the promised sunshine as the bedding is in the WM and will be pegged out, must remember to remake the bed when I get in, nothing worse than going to bed to find it's not been made!
I had a lovely surprise yesterday, DS2's best friend was on his way up north and called to see if I was in. I wasn't going to be home but was going to DDs for my dinner (very nice) so he called there for an hour. So lovely to see him even if it was short and sweet. Had to leave work a little earlier but will make that up today.
Hoping everyone is safe and well, take care. XX

Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC.It's raining here, it seems a while since we've had any proper rain.Hello Bella, I was wondering where you were, sorry to hear you needed a tooth out, hope you're all right. The car got through its MoT with 2 advisories, one of which will be fixed next week. We are pleased, last year it cost us a bit.We do a lot of miles in the summer with the caravan though.Yesterday was ok, I had a parcel to collect from the PO, I couldn't think what it could be since I hadn't ordered anything, but it was a birthday present from a friend who moved up to Scotland last year, It's a book she knew I would like, so kind of her. The big day (not!) is today, I'm hoping for the key of the door.Nanny, hope you'll be ok, sinus pain is awful.Carolbee, enjoy your Cornish holiday, don't know if you're going today or tomorrow, but have fun!Hoping everyone will have as good a day as they can, take care folks.13

Morning all, thank you Scarlettribbons, we will be off shortly for the trip from East Kent to the South West, we live at the seaside, but it’s a different sort of seaside to there!
Have been enjoying Rick Stein programme as much as we enjoyed Robson Greens about their own little piece of the UK.
Take care all, it’s being OS that has made us able to do this holidayCarolbee12 -
Morning folks and thanks NMLC. It's a grey start here but at least it's fine! Happy Birthday SCARLET have a good day!
I popped down town yesterday before my Ocado delivery to draw out the cash for the workman - who didn't show!! I wonder if he will make it today! Why is everyone so unreliable these days.
I have the pleasure of the vets this morning. Her allergy isn't looking too bad at the moment but he wanted to review her in a month so back we go. I hope she co-operates when it's time to go in her carrier as I'm not up to chasing her round the house these days.
When I get back I will have to start the Friday Tidy with a dust and vac up and down - if I cba! DW to empty before I go as that should have been done last night but I was too tired to be bothered. I hope Spring brings me some energy with it.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, getting better and MIA. BELLA it's good to have you back with us again. Take care all and be safe xx

Morning, it's very cloudy and damp but not too cold.Yesterday I arranged and paid for my cremation plan 😱 hopefully not needed for many years! Now I can relax about my affairs. I rewarded myself with a lovely piece of Lanark Blue cheese, a real treat. This morning I'll have my usual phone call from Australia, after that I don't know yet.Carolbee - have a great time on your travels.Happy Friday to all.PS - A very happy birthday to Scarlet. 🎉🎂🎁 There's a few of us who have a birthday this month though I've lost track.13

Morning all and thanks for the start nmlc x Enjoy your non working day.
Happy Birthday @ScarletRibbons x
Safe travels and happy holidays @carolbee x
Thanks for that @Floss - you will be able to spot us a mile off as DSis will probably be moaning about her feet! Will let you know!!
I have already coloured my hair and dyed my eyebrows (first time doing eyebrows!) and am about to go dry my hair. I'm off wedding dress shopping with DIL2B and her mum and sister tomorrow and was looking more badger than fox. There is a white wash to put on this morning which will be festooned upstairs as weather looks iffy again.
We are off to the cinema to see Cocaine Bear this evening. The choices of show were 6.15pm or 8.45pm - we have opted for the earlier time so will need something quick and easy for tea. Think DH is edging towards Nandos but will see what's in the freezer for 'free'!
Have a good day all

Hello everyone. Thanks nmlc enjoy your day off.I missed posting yesterday, it was all a bit hectic with visitors throughout the day coming to wish DH a happy birthday for his 70th so it was really nice. First it was DS2 and the DGC which was fun & involved birthday cake with mini sparklers on.DGS had to be back with his Mum as he was going to play with a schoolfriend so after an hour DS took him back, luckily only down the road, leaving DGD here. Meanwhile our oldest friends turned up unexpectedly bearing gifts which was a surprise. She hardly leaves the house if she can help it apart from shopping these days ( agrophobic tendencies) They were shocked at how tall DGD is these days
. DS returned so they had a good catch up. After a bit of a break DB1 & SIL came in the afternoon and stayed quite a while. The kettle was never off! In the evening he went with his pub quiz friends to have pizza in the pub but was back for 9ish. We had an early night, we were tired out!
Today plans are to go to a garden centre renowned for its food, pick up some plants to replace the dead ones killed by the cold spell, have a late lunch, then we go to watch DGS play in a tournament not far from Blackpool. He will be well supported with us, DS2, his DM & Stepdad and his other grandparentsApologies for not mentioning people by name, I think my brain is still tired. Not much OS either but it was a special dayHave a good day all x

Day off for me today and much needed as I was shattered last night I went to bed at 9 and slept all night.
Today I will have a quick tidy through just the basics as tomorrow is proper cleaning day, then get the dogs out for a walk and then light the fire and watch a film and possibly a nana nap
OH is treating us to a takeaway tonight so no cooking which is nice,WM is about to finish but will have to be hung indoors as we have rain due.
Have good days all and take care xxx13 -
Morning..Having a lazy day today, I'm visiting a friend in a bit to catch up, sm on the way to get a card for OHs mum, then back to continue restarting the darned blanket. It was supposed ot be ripply but I went wrong somewhere and rather than unpick all together the 12 rows I've already done I'll unpick as and when I need the colours. Honestly, i could kick myself. Hopefully I'l be better at counting this time round. Made mince and mustard mash last night so there's the same again for tonight so no cooking required. Out again tomorrow with two friends for lunch at a local [ish] farm shop, OH is playing talisman so a lazy afternoon for me tomorrow as well. I got in touch with the clay place, I'm going on Tuesday to discuss what I want so I'm making embellishments to yarn bowls in my head...Scarlet, happy birthday! Have a lovely day! glad the car wasn't too bad. Izzy, same here, we're on our third delivery this winter and we'll be glad of it the next week or so I'd imagine, but usually we have two and use one and three quarters so it's definitely been colder this time. Ruby, enjoy your day off, have more of them! wag wag...Rosy, happy belateds to your OH..Coxy, enjoy your day and your new hair and eyebrows. I look at mine sometimes and think about getting them done, they're fading with age..Gers, congrats on being death ready, being prepared is good idea. TA, hope all goes well at the vets. Floss, late with this but thanks for posting that picture, it looked beautiful. weenancy, keep warm! carolbee, enjoy the coast! Take care all, hugs for the poorly and thems that want them...Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi13
