Hi,
I was wondering if anyone could help me take my claim further. I purchased a hair curler online in August 2021 for £85. It is an occasional use item, only when I go out but it has stopped working. The heat element no longer heats up and so does not curl my hair.
I have emailed the company and informed them of this, they said it is now out of warranty and so nothing can be done. I watched Martins video and quoted him with the SADFART putting the emphasis on the reasonable amount of time. I feel a year and half is not a reasonable amount of time for something to suddenly stop working. Especially when it is not used everyday. They have replied highlighting the terms and conditions which are all linked to the warranty and 1 year.
Is there anyway I could take this further. I don't have £85 to purchase another one and feel frustrated it has broken.

When you say "the company", do you mean the retailer you bought it from, rather than the manufacturer?
Yes, you can take it further, but the onus would be on you to prove that the problem is down to an inherent fault.0
