Is pension credit still payable if it is owed after someone has passed away . Pension credit was applied for in April 2022 , processed and awarded in September but not received and person passed away in December 2022 without receiving payment .

If it was awarded in September why had nothing been paid by December?
If there was entitlement prior before to death then any money not paid is still due and should be be paid to te estate.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.1 -
We don't know we have never got to speak with anyone in pension credit . We try chasing it up to be told someone will get back within 10 days but they never do0
