In the case of a power cut the total of all the HH figures should match the cumulative total. In contrast if data was missing then it won't match. That is something they are looking at, as I mentioned above. It will never be a 100% match though as the exact moment when the daily index reading is stored may not be exactly at a half-hour boundary, so even will all HH data available there can be small differences.

What makes you think that there will be more power cuts? There may have been an increased possibility of area outages as a result of the Ukrainian crisis but that threat has receded markedly for this year given that Spring starts in 4 days time.Qyburn said:Just realised I should have grabbed the meter reading last night, now I'll need to wait till tomorrow to download Octopus data again.I hope they get better at dealing with power cuts as everyone expects them to be more frequent nowadays than we've been used to for the last few decades. Direct experience, three multi-day power cuts last Winter and one (so far) this Winter. The expectation is shared by Government and Local Authority, as was apparent from the series of "resilience" workshops run locally. And also by SSEN who are running there own events on how to prepare for, and manage during extended power cuts. What makes you think that there will be more power cuts?
Although there was a bizarre combination at the last planning meeting where after all the material about how to ride out power cuts at the household, neighbourhood and community level, this was followed by effectively a sales pitch about how every one should switch to ASHP heating.0
