Gaps between floor and skirting boards

We recently had some LVT flooring laid in our new extension and today have had skirting boards fitted. Noticed that there are some inconsistent gaps between the floor and the skirting, I think where the floor isn't exactly level. A few pictures below if that helps illustrate (not sure how much you can tell from them). I just wondered, what would you do in this situation? Just leave as is (pretty much most of it will be behind furniture and so not noticeable) or look to fix it somehow?

Some people suggest using scotia trim/moulding to cover the gap, but I don't like this.Personally, I'd use silicone with the colour matching the skirting boards. Sharp corner, not bead.0

If you're not paining the skirting, silicone same colour, if you are same colour as the paint0

I would paint the skirting white then use the same colour caulk or silicone as has been used along the top edge.0

If you are painting the skirting, I’d leave the gaps - much easier to put a piece of paper in the gap and prevent gloss going on the floor.2006 LBM £28,000+ in debt.

Was the floor not leveled out before the LVT went down? The surface under the LVT should be perfectly flat.0

I think that kind of variation across the length of the room, which is minimal I’d say, is pretty hard to eliminate. I’ve typically boarded with 6mm ply before laying lvt over what are pretty flat and level sub floors and ended up with similar. the job looks decent and if it were my finished floor I’d leave it as is without trying to fill the gap.Gavin83 said:Was the floor not leveled out before the LVT went down?
