Has Anyone Opened a New Chase Account After Closing?

Hi,
I signed up to Chase last January, but very soon after closed it to try and reduce the number of accounts I had open.
I found out after that you are not eligible to open a new account for 12 months.
12 months have now passed but I have no option to open an account on the app and had no success contacting via email so before I have chance to call them I was just wondering if anyone else been in a similar position and been able to get an account again?

Don’t know about Chase, but in a similar situation at Monzo I had to
1 - reinstall the app, and
2 - wait until they had re-set something their end
3 - go through the set up from scratch, incl ID verification0 -
Not much help, I know, but when I closed my account in December, I got a warning that I may not be able to open a new account with them in future. There was no timeframe, so I have to assume they meant 'ever'

I closed mine and was told 6 or 12 months before I’d be allowed back.0

I had a similar situation, being told it would be 12 months before I could reapply. These 12 months have now passed. Have since found out directly from phoning Chase that they are not in a position to provide a new account for customers who have previously closed their accounts. They are looking into changing this but couldn’t give a timescale.0

Probably some sort of a deterrent, to stop people form leaving. Or punishment for those who dare leaving the fold. Starling have a similar rule, and getting another Monzo account involves several hurdles, too. I can imagine Starling and Monzo do it to stop switching tarts from opening burner account with them. But as Chase doesn't participate in CASS, fending off switching tarts can't be the reason.adzy77 said:
