Nothing wrong with open banking, but if it concerns you, you could have linked another current account that you don’t use as your everyday account, like lots of others have done.fwdrew said:Was tempted to give Chip a go so I downloaded the app and set up account. I was about to link my account to open banking and thought nope this is not for me. So followed the details to delete the account, it crashed every time I clicked on delete account. Even the contact us link did not work. Had to resort to sending them an email to request to close account, that's if they bother to get back. Not for me !0

I am also about to open a Chip account and was a initially like yourself, a bit hesitant especially with regards to how the account operates, having never used any Open Banking system!fwdrew said:Was tempted to give Chip a go so I downloaded the app and set up account. I still intend to open the account, but when I do open it, I won’t be linking my main everyday account, but intend to use an little used account!0

I'm new to open banking too. Only started using it 5 months ago when opened Chip account and was a bit hesitant like with anything new. Then I vaguely remembered I had similar thoughts when online banking came into play and more recently app banking. Have to start using it to experience the benefits of new technology. I now prefer OB to FP system.Blackbriar_040 said:
