"What Is the Circle with a Plus Sign Icon in My Notification Bar?
AnswerThe circle with a plus sign icon means that you have enabled the phone's data saver feature."

Thanks.
I'll investigate the 'data saver' first.0 -
The only way to get an accurate answer is to tell us which phone it is and what version of Andriod is has, just saying it's Android is of little help as there are many different flavours out there - although despite never having heard of Data Saver I found it on my own phone, turned it on and it does indeed have that symbol, so it does seem likely to be the amswer.

Thanks Frug.
What does it do?! Pros and cons? Ta.
Ah! It stops Apps that are not actually being used from updating/downloading data. Only Apps currently in use can do so. I set this as I only have 3GB pm. And last month, after intensive use, the remaining amount fell to, um, 2.9GB0 -
Hi,you can set an alert to get warning about data usage, HERE.1
