Confused glitch Tesco

Went to renew car insurance through Confused.Com Best price was with Tesco Bank which include protected bonus. clicked on the link to go to Tesco once there i added Legal protection which took the price up a bit then added Tesco Clubcard and instead of price dropping it went up a further £52.83 had to phone Tesco to get the correct quote. i was told then that there was a glitch due to clubcard discount already applied on the Confused site and when you input on the Tesco site it removes it.
