Settling IVA on payments made

Hi

I recently posted in here re my IVA provider and making a complaint about their handling of my case.
I’m now back again as they have done yet another recalculation and have now said that they will put forward my IVA for settling early on payments made to date. I only have 6 payments left on it and have fully paid all payments requested up until now.

I just don’t trust my IVA provider to complete this process without changing something or going back on what they are saying.
I have all emails from them and have SAR on everything they have on file for me including phone calls and emails. Particularly stating that they will be putting forward for settlement on monies paid.

My affordability come April 1st will be
-£20 a week and whilst I am concerned about this I am more concerned that that the IVA provider will insist that I continue paying or change the monthly payment or something similar. They have already quoted me 3 different availability figures in 8 weeks with no change of circumstances.

This is the most stressed I have been over 5 years of my IVA

I’m unsure what if anything I can do at this point as I know all creditors have to agree to this. The final 6 payments will only total just under £700 so it not like I am paying a huge amount anyway.

Has anyone had success with their IVA being settled on payments made ?

Thanks in advance
Sarah

    Yes, mine was.

They will make a commercial decision, as you are so far down the road with this, your ability to afford your payments is a necessary part of the arrangement, if your income has dropped to a point where the payments become unaffordable, obviously that will be taken into account.

They will look at your ability to pay should your arrangement fail, and on the figures you have provided, it looks like you won`t be able to afford anything, so either way they won`t be getting any more out of you, so the logical step is to accept payments to date as full and final settlement.

Although you can never say never, it looks like a done deal to me.
