What a stressful situation, well done for bearing up and getting a job application in so soon.
When you get a new job, start putting money aside to build up an emergency fund- the usual advice is 3-6 months of outgoings, but some people have one or even two years worth - it's exactly for situations like these.

Sorry about your job and hope you find something soon. For now focus on priority bills first and if you can pay minimums then do so but only if you can afford it. If not I would contact the credit card companies and explain. They will give you probably 6 months breathing space. The balances are low so forget bailiffs. None of this will apply to you.Do you have a mortgage?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards.
