What a stressful situation, well done for bearing up and getting a job application in so soon.
When you get a new job, start putting money aside to build up an emergency fund- the usual advice is 3-6 months of outgoings, but some people have one or even two years worth - it's exactly for situations like these.

A lot of people have huge debts, so yes on paper it is not as bad as some. However, each debt be it large or small can be very stressful for the debtor, so it does not matter what the size is for getting help on here. You can get through it the same as so many of us have done.lostmyjobyesterday37 said:Thanks for all your support.

Sorry about your job and hope you find something soon. For now focus on priority bills first and if you can pay minimums then do so but only if you can afford it. If not I would contact the credit card companies and explain. They will give you probably 6 months breathing space. The balances are low so forget bailiffs. None of this will apply to you.Do you have a mortgage?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. Ok so focus on the mortgage as priority. Pay minimums on the cards if you can to avoid losing the 0% interest deals.lostmyjobyesterday37 said:
