I have been on State Pension for almost a year (since June 2024).  Upon trying to top up my State Pension before the deadline (05 April 2025) I discovered that my Universal Credit Class 3 NIC's have not been creditted for approx 8 weeks of the 2020-2021 tax year & for the entire 2021-2022 tax years.  The years thereafter have been creditted correctly.  I have been trying to sort this out for over a year.  I am passed from HMRC to DWP to UC & round & round you go.  DWP & UC dont even have my record of having started UC in Feb 2021 - they tell me UC started in May 2022.  I have full proof & sent it to them.  Still no result.  It is total nonsense that they are sorting it out manually four months before starting your State Pension.  My MP is involved but it is still not rectified.  When is Martin Lewis going to get involved in this.  Each department blames the other one.  HMRC have confirmed my UC dates but need DWP to confirm them.  DWP have also not advised HMRC that my UC claim has finished - the day before my State Pension started.  Amalia's email address at MoneySavingExpert no longer works.  Who is now collating info so that Martin Lewis can take it up on our behalves with DWP?  I am writing this on 24 April 2025 - so nothing has changed since way back in 2017.  I reckon that 95% of UC recipients have no idea that they are missing Class 2 NIC's.
