Chuffin Post Office

Options
Is it just me that thinks the Post Office has not really recovered from the strike?

I put through 2 orders for 17 items 2 weeks ago from HMV, sent them to work address so that I wouldn't have to traipse to Post Office to pick them up - and they still haven't been delievered.

17 items.

HMV said all items despatched ages ago - so where are they? Big problem is work shuts shop tomorrow for 2 weeks!!!!!! I could cry, if I wasn't so angry

THe post office has really sucked since the strike. They have lost several important documents of mine (aside from the family photos saga, see earlier post) that included P60s and Tax code notifications (that I was required to send through the post to open various accounts). This is in the past two months.

    forget the strikes.

    RM have changed many things.
    cut staff,change practices,start times etc

this is where the problems stem from.unfortunatly RM are cutting back like mad and the service is suffering.
im just in from working since midnight.
im off to bed and back up for an 11pm start.

thats still not enough to keep on top of things.

I was told by RM that they're still backlogged from the strikes and the xmas stuff is just adding to it and I think the backlog is just increasing at the moment not decreasing. I was enquiring about my claim form (for lost parcel) I sent a month ago, it hasn't even been entered onto their system never mind processed yet.

  • Can people please stop saying "Post Office" when they mean Royal Mail?!? Its a little frustration I have hehe :p

To clear things up.. Company that delivers and transports mail = Royal Mail. The postal strikes were mainly Royal Mail strikes thus effecting our post.

Post Office is a seperate company that simply is a means to an ends... its the human contact we have with Royal Mail in terms of trying to delivery our items...

Any delays is nothing to do with the Post Office!! And they do a fine job for their purpose!

Its royal mail thats a load of old <insert flame here>

  • I know its awful for you Nix, but you may have put my mind slightly at rest.
I am starting to panic about a few orders I made & were posted a week ago, I started to wonder if they'd been stolen through Royal Mail, but maybe they're just in a back log - will be a shame for my OH as he wont get his pressies on Christmas day, but at least they could be on their way.
My local sorting office say they've got no post for me & the companies who have posted them just say they cant start an investigation until 14day from dispatch - 1 more week to go!

    Hope yours arrive soon.

    oh !!!!!!.
packets are 60% up over last year.
    SD items are hammered.
    RM have cut staff

this year they have continused ot accept mailsort contracts(basic mainly junk mail) letters/items which adds 000's of items.
theres a finite amount of letters you can sort in a set amount of time.
they have also pushed through D2D's(unaddressed junk mail) and are pressuring staff to take them out.

moan to the heads of rm as they are the ones screwing it up not the staff. of course the items are not delayed.
some theiving RM !!!!! has stolen them
