Money Dashboard alternative able to import Money Dashboard data?

Money Dashboard seems dead
- Apparently they have lost more than half their employees. According to the "Total exemption full accounts made up to 30 April 2022" (dated 25 Jan 2023) in Companies House (https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/SC301187/filing-history/MzM2NzE0NDcxOWFkaXF6a2N4/document?format=pdf&download=0) the "Average number of employees, including directors, during the year was as follows: 17 (2021: 41)".
- The iPhone/Android apps have not been updated since 2021.
- They closed the forum
- https://twitter.com/moneydashboard has been silent for over a year
- ...

Basically, ClearScore bought them (and Experian bought ClearScore not long before), and they don't seem to have any plan for it.

I have a couple of years of nicely classified transactions on it. And you can actually export them in CSV format (something I'm already doing from time to time as a backup, worried they may close without warning). So, there is any alternative that:
- Has more or less the same features (I like having a web version, not just the app)
- Is still maintained
- Can import the CSV from Money Dashboard
- Can export its own data, in case the same thing happens to it
- Is free (I don't mind adds/recommendations/whatever, but I find it difficult to justify spending money on something that gives me a better view of my finances but doesn't really save me money)

I'm in the same situation. Did you find a good alternative to MD with the ability to import its data?

    Thank you - Rowan
  • They are now officially dead.
I have changed to http://homebank.free.fr/, creating my own code to automatically read the transaction information from my banks/credit cards and create an Open Financial Exchange formatted file that HomeBank can read.

It's not exactly the same. But:
    - The data is only in my computer
    - I like being able to manually mark transactions as reconciled (in MoneyDashboard I used to continuously look at the transactions from the last few days since it was difficult to know if a new one had appeared from 3 days ago even if you had already looked at the ones from 2 days ago)
    - I can put data from all the accounts, even the ones banks don't publish via Open Banking (lots of savings accounts)
