chip account app seems broken

hi all.
following chip offering what seems to be a reasonable rate on there easy access account i thought i would  download it and sign up.
however im having some issues. i cant transfer any money in as it says i can only do it from a debit card...and my bank (virgin) isnt on the list of cards they accept.
i then tried to go onto the help section of the app...but that dosent work. so i thought i would go on the "contact us" section so i could ask what i could do....but that section dosent work either!
in short im left wondering is it just me or am i right to be wary of a banking app that limits how i can pay into it and seems to have no way to contact the bank to ask questions?
