Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Very dark start to the day.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was jacket potato, cold chicken, gammon, boiled egg, and side salad. Tonight I'm not sure.
Work was ok, busy but ok, today will be much the same.
Keep safe and well x

Morning all - thanks for starting us off nmlc. Can't see anything outside yet though all seems calm. No high winds and the heavy rain of late last night has stopped.Whilst my cleaner was here yesterday I drove down to the small fishing village of Tarbert. The day turned almost sunny which made the harbour look so pretty with all the boats bobbing gently. I had a walk along the harbour, resisted buying chips, bought a coffee and just enjoyed being out in dry weather.
My ribs are still making themselves known, however all is healing. This morning I'm off down to Glasgow for an appointment with my dental hygienist then meeting up with my good friend Alan for a spot of brunch. He's having a tough time so it'll be good to see him for a while.I hope that all our poorlies and missing are doing at least OK. Happy Wednesday to all.15 -
Morning All
Lovely photo Gers, it looks so calm and peaceful.
It's meant to be dry and sunny today so I've put washing out, it's a bit chilly out there in my dressing gown!
Hoping your DS makes a speedy recovery Topsy.
Glad work wasn't too busy nmlc.
Your poor little DGD dp1, it never surprises me how quickly children recover.
Gosh Snoozer, hope you get your new car fixed asap.
Well done on sorting the desk TA.
Wishing you a peaceful week izzy!
Another day in the madhouse for me, I'm just putting my head down and getting on with things, my Colleague is really struggling with the new HT, they are at each other's throats all day, it's quite amusing for me but I can see troubles ahead.
Have a good day, hugs to the poorlies, take care. XX15 -
Morning folks and thanks NMLC. Thanks also GERS for the lovely pic. It looks so tranquil and serene.
I had my usual good meet up with BFF and a lovely lunch was enjoyed as usual. Our 3rd friend managed to join us for the lunch part so that was nice.
Today me and my bus buddy are off to Boundary Mill. The bus journeys are planned with military precision so hoping there are no cancellations to let us down! We neither of us are on the look out for anything special but as the clearance sale is still on we might just be tempted by something! We will make time for lunch in among our browsing.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, recovering or MIA. Dp1 your little DGD never ceases to amaze me the way she bounces back after her many setbacks. IZZY I hope the boss's wife stays out of your way again today. Take care all and stay safe xx

Morning all
Pouring with rain here and meant to last all day, I have one chap coming today but it looks like we might be home based, we could make a cake and do some art stuff and maybe watch a film later on.
Lasagne for dinner tonight I will make the white sauce this morning so it’s just the meat part to cook later, dd finishes early today so she might finish it off, we will have salad with it and garlic bread.
WM is on and doing it’s thing but it will have to go on the airer.
Have good days all and take care xx14 -
Morning everyone
Just a quickie as I'm going down to sit with dad this morning so mam can go to church. I had a nice lunch out with DD and little one yesterday - we were at a restaurant which has a small soft play area so little one enjoyed that. Then had a very lazy afternoon reading the paper from Sunday. Nice chat with DD in Germany later on.
I'm picking my nephew up after I've been at mams - they live on the same little estate - we'll have lunch and a play then we're going to see the new Puss in Boots film. I have free tickets from stewarding at the cinema so it's a cheap treat!
So wishing you all a good day. Lovely photo Gers x

Morning everyone lovely photo Gers Camelot in them situations it’s better to just sit tight and say nothing watching it all going on around you when I went to work yesterday the boss had turned the other press off and put a big notice on saying it wasn’t working so there was only my press working so she couldn’t do any work it’s getting fixed at the weekend apparently you couldn’t make it up i just carried on in my own little world it’s either that or strangle her never mind I’m half way through the week 10 days time I will be getting the cobwebs blown off me in Northumberland when I’m visiting holy island I will be enjoying the peace and quiet just me and my little dog heaven . Oooh 3 pounds lost last night how that happened I don’t know the only thing I have changed I usually have bread with my homemade vegetable soup at lunchtime and I’ve changed it to a couple of crispbreads same points but definitely suits me better we will see it’s probably be months before that happens again but I’m going in the right direction. Dp1 pleased the little one is on the mend she’s such a little toughie she’s had a lot to cope with she’s a little star.thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing14

Morning...I'm waiting for my trousers to dry on the radiator since I have to be out by quarter to eleven to get my car window seal fixed, this has been waiting since November and due to a mix up with ordering the seal, hasn't happened until now..I couldn't rebook my tip trip so it's still on for tomorrow which means I have all day to crochet this blanket and put the shelves up in the garage. I needed some stopper type things and the ones I had were the wrong ones, too small. I bought myself a yarn bowl yesterday as well. I've never needed one before but the darned [see what I did there?
] wool ball bounces round all over the place, I've had to scramble under the sofa a few times to retrieve it, yanking on it when it's stuck only for it to fall on the floor and make the cats think they have a new massive toy, trying to unflip the wool from around it only for it to get stuck on a cushion corner...well...who knew there could be so many first world problems with a ball of yarn? Enough of that nonsense, this dog will hunt....
dp1, your lives must be one big rollercoaster of relief and fear with your gd. I admire all of your fortitudes...Izzy, great, she comes in, wrecks the place and goes away again...model employeecongrats on the loss too! Gers, pretty, but very chilly looking, does dour sound right for that ? Or is that chilly and raining? And well done on iron self will to say no to chips
camelot, maybe you can retire ealry...work stress is no joke. even secondhand work stress. TA, enjoy your day out! Iris, we used to do one of those, a Stitch and B*tch, we could do them both because stitch was so broad
Anyway, soory, have to go, might bbl, look after yourselves sick people, get well, or at least don't get worse....take care!

Hi everyone,
Gers, thanks for asking about the car. It's a hybrid and apparently drives ok in electric mode but when it switches to petrol the engine is just revving. The garage says the engine will need stripping down so they are talking to Honda about having it transported to the garage we bought it from so at least we won't have to come back here to pick it up. Very annoying in such a new vehicle.
We went to Porthgain yesterday to a really excellent fish and chip place on the harbour, we've been a few times and it is always delicious. Then the others went to Whitesands beach but I came back for a much needed nap. Today we will be going to Cardigan to see off the rellies and then a good friend of Laura's will be arriving, followed tomorrow by her best friend from school, Dan. On Friday 3 more friends will be arriving as well. I have a cake to make although it feels a bit redundant because Chris and Crystal sent two boxes of cakes yesterday. They include a giant wagon wheel, giant custard cream and huge chunks of chocolatey things with names like malteser and biscoff slump and something called a brookie, which I'd never heard of but apparently is a combination of a brownie with a cookie base. Laura still wants me to make a cake though.
dp1, I hope little one continues to recover .
Have a good day.14
