I want to get an additional credit card on my account for my daughter for emergencies.
Will it affect her credit rating (positively or negatively) as she wants to apply for her own card (with a different provider) at the same time ?

No. It will not affect her credit rating in any way at all.

You as the account holder will be responsible for any payments due to the account.

Some companies may carry out an ID check on your daughter, but this won't be recorded on her credit file or create any financial association/links.
