Planning switching to NatWest

Switch incentive paid two days after I paid the £1,250 in, so switch completed on 28/2 and incentive paid on 3/3.
I don’t really like NatWest internet banking and the necessity for a card reader, so I won’t be with them for long. I have all the DD and SO in that account and use my long term account for day to day spending so not too much of a hassle.
Is there a specific period of time I have to stay with NatWest and are there implications on my credit file of switching bank accounts quickly/often?23/8/21
Mortgage balance £11,277.68
Monthly payments £202.93
Interest £
Term 4 years 8 months
MFW start 23/8/210 -
You can switch the NatWest account any time you like.
Hard searches on your credit files are a consequence of account swapping. Not a problem unless you are planning a credit application in the near future.
Having said that, I've got about a dozen hard searches on my files, earned over the last six months. I made a speculative application for an obviously erroneous mobile PAYM contract this week (200GB for £0/mth) and was bounced.
Don't know if it was the credit search or EE's system picking up the dodgy offer.1 -

What do you need the card reader for? I am behind you in the switch but have been using the account and the digital saver. I only needed a card reader to fully activate online banking, so far.
Why not keep the account if it doesn't cost you anything and thus keep the useful savings account, but if your not interested in the saver still keep the current account for switching.
Of course credit files will have records of accounts, applications and closures but from what I've read do not appear to have a deleterious effect on your rating and certainly for no longer than 6-12 months according to reports, depends on what you may want to borrow. The continuing ability to switch does not appear to be affected by the frequency or quantity.

I would keep the account and the 6% regular saver no?
I admit the app is not the best, but well it works.1
