What activates Natwest my rewards offers

Hi

Just opened a NatWest account and was hoping to get Sky cashback. Just wondered what the catalyst was for such offers. Do I need to just spend on my debit card like my Halifax and Lloyds accounts?

Cheers

First you need to have a Reward account (charges £2 a month), not the free Select one.

Then you need to receive the Sky offer (they have a different set of offers each month, most offers will come back after a few months depending on your spending patterns).

Thanks for that. Spent in Asda today and offers have appeared. No Sky unfortunately.

    Cheers

To clarify - you can earn Rewards on a Select account so long as you additionally hold a Reward account or credit card - although in the case of the latter it'd seem daft not to get a Reward account to get the fee waived.

Offers aren't there perpetually either - retailers come and go, they tend to appear across multiple platforms when they do. If there's an offer you see which you want to use then take it but don't expect it to come back if you don't.

Additionally they might only target certain groups - Sky might only target customers with recent Direct Debits for Virgin Media for example.
