Problem with rebooting?

I tried rebooting my system [Windows XP Media Centre] but to my surprise the previously saved programs on the system haven't disappeared!!!But rest of all files gone!

What does it mean?

[Dell will charge £59 for any Software support which I am not keen to pay]

Rebooting means shutting down and restarting it. Do you mean you have tried to re-install windows?
It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die

    Sorry........I meant re-installing!
  • if you have restored it to factory settings, then it will have all the programs on that it came with originally
Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time?
