Problem with rebooting?

I tried rebooting my system [Windows XP Media Centre] but to my surprise the previously saved programs on the system haven't disappeared!!!But rest of all files gone!
What does it mean?

Rebooting means shutting down and restarting it. Do you mean you have tried to re-install windows?It's my problem, it's my problem

if you have restored it to factory settings, then it will have all the programs on that it came with originallyEver get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0
