What causes bricks to do this?

There is a crack going down where the frnt joins the back.
Quite wide at the bottom, less so further up.
That would worry me more than the bricks - and thats saying something!I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

Yes it’s definitely not good either way. Needless to say we have decided not to buy this house as could be a headache to sort.Another issue we noticed when viewing was that there was a crack going diagonally from top to about half way down in the wall between two of the bedrooms. Normally I wouldn’t have been majorly concerned but the crack was visible in both bedrooms which set off alarm bells.0
