Hi i hope some one my have some advice .
On the 17/5/2022 i was allegedly parked on a pub carpark for approx 60sec .
On the 2/6/2022 i emigrated to Thailand with my family.
On the 13th of Feb 2023 i recieved a text from Gladstones solicitors saying i owed £160 .
I contacted them and they told me it was for an unpaid PCN , i explained i have never received a PCN and i live abroad and gave my Thai address, i googled the pub in question and after reading the department of transport and British parking association about signs it noted that the sign should be on the enterance and visable to motorists entering either from the lrft or right . There notice is on a sde wall and not visable if entering frim the left and you would be already on the land before seeing the notice , also the lighting was dim as 5.48 am and the light above the sign was not on and approx 15ft above the sign .
I also mentioned that as the sign did say for patrons only i said that it was the landlord who had broken the contract as i was not able to enter the pub and exercise my right as a patron .
Are they able to enforce a PCN if i live abroad? .
And will my comments above and other things be enough to deter them.
Thanks robert

No they can't enforce it if you live abroad.BUT TO STOP A CCJ AT THE OLD ADDRESS:
Email Gladstones DPO (the email on their privacy page) and tell them to erase the old UK address as you permanently live at (Thai address) so they must rectify all databases and tell their client to do the same.
Do not assume that's what you did already, it's not. The words 'erase' and 'rectify' are important.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top of this/any page where it says:
Home»Motoring»Parking Tickets Fines & Parking - read the NEWBIES THREAD0 -
You will need to include non-photo proof of ID and proof of your address in Thailand when you send the rectification notice to the DPO. Anything official will do as long as it does not have a photo, or you redact photos.I married my cousin.
