Installing Windows Vista!

I have a Windows XP Media Centre Edition........I was sent with Vista Installation software. As I heard problem with Vista, I haven't tried it

I am thinking to install Vista.......My question is would that still have Media Centre [for watching TV etc] as before

Any ideas?

  • If your Vista is Vista Home Premium or Ultimate then yes. If it's Home Basic or Business then it won't have media center.

    Thanks for the reply.

It doesnt say anything on the disc....''I presume it might be Home Basic''

How would I know this anyway?

For home editions, the installation disk is the same, regardless of which version you buy. It's all on the serial number that you enter, so check the documentation as this should say to which version your Serial applies.
