Redundancy while receiving tax credits advice please.

I have been working for a company for 19 years , the last few have been on  a part time contract so as a single parent I've also received housing benefit and tax credits.

I am facing redundancy to be finalised this week. They will pay approximately 4k in redundancy then 12 weeks in lieu of notice.  By the time tax and ni come off this will leave just over  6k and at the moment I have zero in savings.

I have interviews this week for a new job and I've never been unemployed so really hope I get one.

How will the payment in lieu of notice and redundancy affect my benefits? Will they end? Will they take it all back and will I still be able to claim anything? Will I be moved to UC?

The housing benefit only ever say just send us your information and we'll sort it (it took them 12 weeks to adjust after my rent got increased and they made a mistake) but I need to know what I should be prepared for. My car needs repairs and some of this redundancy would really help but don't know what I could keep if anything.

I anyone could help with these questions I'd be really grateful
Thanks
