Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Very dark start to the day.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Lunch yesterday was roast chicken, some LO's, so will use them up for a dinner this week.
Hectic week at work this week, going in early today so I can get sorted before it gets frantic, from tomorrow will be worse.
Keep safe and well x

Morning All
Thanks for the start nmlc, hope your work is bearable.
I'm up and at em this morning, back to work for me. Packed lunch made and enough fruit to feed the whole school, I like to graze during the day and fruit stops me eating crisps and cakes (of which there are always loads).
Yesterday was wet and miserable, I scrubbed the shower when I got back from swimming so that's all sparkly and clean. Rest of the bathrooms all cleaned and the vacuum thrown about. Caught up on some TV in the afternoon and watched the Bank of Dave.
I cleaned all the downstairs windows outside on Saturday, wish I hadn't bothered with the rain and wind we've had since!
Hope the missing woman is found soon Ruby.
Those kitchen items brought back memories Gers, we had toffee hammers at home and the same tin opener that was also used to open tins of evaporated milk (horrid stuff), I remember there being two holes in the lid, one to pour and one for air so it didn't gurgle.
DD and the little one have had conjunctivitis and I had 'nippy' eyes yesterday when I got up so I went to the duty Sunday chemist (along with about 20 other folk) but it didn't open, shocking service especially for those who were quite unwell. The next nearest one was 15 miles away so I'll wait until I finish work to go although my eyes aren't too bad this morning.
Happy Monday, take care. XX13 -
Morning all
Dull and overcast here today but the sun is due out later, one lady coming today and we are going to meet a friend and her client for bowling and a Mc lunchif it stays nice we will have a walk along the canal path after.
I managed 5 miles yesterday with no real troubles so I was very pleased with myself, we had a good look for the missing lady but saw nothing, we stopped off at the pub on the way home and sat outside but it got very cold once the sun had gone behind the houses and we were freezing, it took us ages to warm up once home.
Dinner tonight is pork chops mash and veg, I will do the potatoes and veg this morning, my lady likes helping to chop things so might get her to help before we go out.
Have good days all and take care x13 -
Morning folks. A late one from me as I again had a very wakeful night and only dropped off properly sometime after 3am. The high wind was howling so much it was so loud. The morning is very grey, windy and wet. No chance of any sunshine today I think.Yesterday I did the dump run and bought some more veggies. I took a couple of the kitchen items to the metal recycling bit. Camelot - yes, we used the bottle opener's other end for tins of evaporated milk too. In Germany it's the type of milk used with ground coffee so my DM always had it. I've kept the pastry wheel too. The wooden spoons have been thoroughly cleaned, I want to get some mineral oil to use on them. Perhaps they'll come up better with a bit of moisture in them.In the early evening huge numbers of geese flew past my place, I estimated about 150 of them, before landing in one of the big fields. It was a lovely sight though very noisy. Who said that the countryside is quiet?Today is back to being a mystery. My ribs still hurt when I cough or sneeze but I'm 3/4 healed. 😀 I hope that our poorlies are on the mend too. Happy Monday to all.12

Morning Everyone. It's a sunny day here atm.
I also have one of the little toffee hammers - my MinL worked at the Blue-Bird Toffee Factory many years ago and she used to give us lots of the toffees she bought from the factory shop.
Happy Monday. x12 -
Morning everyone
Just a quickie from me as I'm taking little one to Newcastle today. Its very windy but there doesn't seem to be any disruption to the trains.
Gers - the geese must have been a very impressive sight. We sometimes get them flying over here but not in those numbers.
Camelot - hope your first day back isn't too hectic...same for you Nmlc
Hope everyone has a good day x13 -

Morning everyone. Bit more decorating and decluttering going on here today. No real plans for anything, will put my seeds in after we return home from West Country trip, for veg and sweet peas.

Morning all and thanks for the start nmlc x
I didn’t manage to post yesterday. Lost 0.5lb at FC and had a busy Saturday, including haircut, eyebrow threading, cinema trip and an Olio haul of veg and WM rolls. I had a nice breakfast yesterday then cleaned the bathroom and then met my BFF at the local shopping mall. I had a voucher for Christmas so got myself a make up brush, some eyeliner and mascara plus a nice vase for Spring flowers (ours are a bit big). I still have some money left on the card for next time.
BFF bought a couple of bits in Lakeland then lost her cloth bag at some point along our travels. We retraced our steps but couldn’t find it – most annoying! We had a nice coffee break and then Nando’s but I was good and had grilled chicken and rainbow slaw.
Dinner was a bowl of HM veg soup made with an Olio bag of casserole veg, stock and seasoning. I had it with a WM deli roll (another Olio freebie).
I’m in the office today and it’s very quiet. Dinner will be HM SW chicken curry.
Glad you are feeling lots better @Gers and the geese activity sounds wonderful.
Enjoy your time out with your client @RedRuby1231
Have a great trip with little one @dp1
Thinking of you @IzzyBee and hope you manage to rub along with bosses wife this week – not easy!
Have a good day everyone

Hello all, it's another fine sunny day so far. I got all the washing dried outside yesterday except the thick waistbands on 2 pairs of joggers so they've been on the airer overnight and are now catching the morning sun through the spare bedroom window. Dad went home a happy bunny yesterday with a few extra dinners, sandwiches and some bananas however we all forgot the black pudding in the freezer which had been sliced and vacuum sealed for him, doh ! He watched the new Top Gun Maverick film which he insisted was about the Mojave desert as it was called "Mojave" and it took 20mins to persuade him that it wasn't. Sometimes I think his brain is wired up differently 😂
Today I'll sort out the dry washing and put it away, then run the hoover over the upstairs as I neglected to do it on Saturday. The dw needs emptying first though but then I have no plans for the rest of today. There's plenty of LO roast pork to use up for tea.
Camelot I hope you can get some medication for your eyes and everyone's clear up quickly.
Gers perhaps you have broken a rib, it's so easy to do and will take a while to repair itself, go easy today.
RedRuby sorry the lady is still missing, glad you could do 5 miles pain free.
Hope the ones going to work have a good day and hugs to everyone.
Take care, stay dry and keep well if you can.
