Railway station parking fine Apcoa

Ferrex

I parked at the railway station and used the Apcoa app to pay for parking. I've previously used this without issue however this time around it seems my bank required me to authorise the £3 fee. The Apcoa app appeared to show the payment taken and nothing about having to open my bank app to approve payment. I got on the train and presumed payment was taken as the Apcoa app didn't say otherwise and showed the current parking session. I then received a parking charge in the post and on checking my bank account found a declined payment to Miradconnect stating approval wasn't received in time.
Is it worth appealing this with them?

Yes and no, but you won't be paying a penny.
Have a look specifically at other APCOA railway penalty threads, you'll see why I say what I say, and why you must respond SLOWLY at every appeal stage to time it out.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
