Menvier alarm Lid Tamper reset

I had to relocate the external bell box for some work to be done on the house, and when I moved it back, the alarm now shows LT and won't set. Is there a way to clear the lid tamper message, or have I damaged something in the bell box?

You usually need an "Engineer Reset" code to remove a tamper error code. It's unlikely (hopefully!) that you've actually damaged anything, it just needs resetting.First thing to do is spend some time on good old Google. In a lot of cases, a particular manufacturer will use a "global" engineer code for all their products (or perhaps one code for each model they produce). If you're lucky, you may be able to find forums etc. where you'll be able to find the engineer code (or you may find, say, 3 or 4 that were used that you can try) for your particular model. If you have no luck, you may have to resort to calling out a "real" alarm engineer. Hopefully if you're able to find a local firm, they won't charge you an arm and a leg.Had an issue with my house alarm some years ago, and the original installer was no longer in business. Found a local guy who came and sorted it, he charged me about the same amount as what I'd been able to find the parts for online, so i reckoned that was a result0

I have the code to get into the engineer's menus, and I have the handbook for the panel, I just can't fathom which code in which menu will do the reset.0

Very often the "Engineer" functions are not detailed in the user manual, as a lot of manufacturers want you to have to pay for one of their engineers to fix what is actually a relatively simple problem. Or maybe that's just me being a bit over-cynical!See if you can find any tips online - but if all else fails, you may have to resort to getting an alarm engineer to look at it. I guess there is a possibility that something has been damaged when you moved the box - or that the lid has not been re-seated exactly right? But hopefully, in true MSE style, t'interweb may give you the answer you needSorry I can't give any more concrete advice. I know when I've had problems with my alarms in the past it's been a right palaver to find the "secret engineer's information", but I've usually managed to get there eventually.
