2 step verification headache

I'm thinking of changing my bank account as when I pay for my Ringo parking I have to go into my Nationwide app and verify my 3 quid expenditure everytime, its driving me nuts. Anyone know a way around or suggest a bank account that wouldn't use 2 step?

    Use cash?

Most banks do 2 factor verification now so your choices will be limited unfortunately.

Could you use Google Pay (if android, I assume Apple pay does the same thing) for Ringo instead?

(Ringo always tries to default to Google Pay for me, but the card I use for parking isn't on Google Pay so I have to manually select the card each time.)

I always pay with my Ringo parking app which is linked to my ApplePay. Payment authorisation is just a double click. Should be the same/similar for GooglePay.

I love the idea that parking can be paid with cash.  Not in most the lots locally.  If you don't have their specific app you can't pay.  And so presumably you can't park.  A bit of an issue for those of us that don't do apps.  Or even apple/google pay!!

Well yes, and I have to say I'm still a big fan of cash.

But, for parking, I'm really happy to use an app most of the time, all that faffing around trying to find enough of the right coins for the machine, and sometimes not having the right coins, is removed instantly. Or trying to use a card in a machine whose card reader is broken. The app means you don't need the machine at all.

So whilst I still firmly believe cash is needed, and am often in situations where it's essential, parking apps are, despite my belief in cash, a huge relief. I find Ringo covers most situations I visit, no need for loads of them.

Parking apps might work if its somewhere local where you use them regularly, but they're likely to become a PITA if you're a visitor or tourist in an unfamiliar area!!

Unless there was one standardised system (app) used by all the councils and local authorities up and down the country.

This would remove choice and stifle competition between the various suppliers of parking solutions to local authorities thus increasing costs.

Cash payment car parks do still exist.  And I know because I used one last week.
For local authorities might depend where you live, but they're not rarer than rocking horse poo.
