I don't understand the difference between what you've written and the OP's understanding. [Not doubting you, just trying to properly understand because I thought similarly to the OP.]When you select what your supplier can access, you are not setting how often they can access the data, you are setting the granularity of the data they can access...So if you select monthly then the supplier will only be able to access the monthly total for each register. If you select daily they can access the daily register totals and the monthly totals. If you select half-hourly then your supplier can access monthly, daily and the half-hour data for each register...The meter will retain data at the half-hour level for up to 13 months it just won't let the supplier (or authorized 3rd parties) access the data at that level without your permission. The daily register totals are stored for 2 years and it is from these that the supplier is able to access the daily or monthly readings. As an extra level of security, the half-hour data is stored in a different data structure from the daily and monthly register totals so if you limit the supplier to daily or monthly, those totals are not calculated from the half-hour data, they exist as a completely separate data store in the meter and are given to the supplier from that dedicated data store leaving the half-hour data untouched in the meter.Does that help in terms of understanding?
i'd say they make it up but it matches whats on bright. That will change to half-hour as the default for new installs by 2025...2 -
we havent changed anything so 'no'?
sorry i must still have misunderstood that they can have monthly reporting when it was set up but get the daily data. i thought the reporting and data were the same. thanks again.Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, including you. Anne Lamott
It's amazing how those with a can-do attitude and willingness to 'pitch in and work' get all the luck, isn't it?
