Morning all, it was windy again last night but it's still breezy this morning and damp, seems we'll be having showers on and off all day though.
The "plinths" are finished and we're umming and ahhing about re-doing the fiireplace, they are the same colour but perhaps it could do with a freshen up, I'll add it to the "to do" list ! And I got the colour right so a raspberry to himself with little faith ! In all fairness my memory is normally rubbish but I did remember asking for beech varnish originally.
After a disturbed sleep last night with bouts of coughing and spluttering (no idea why) I have already stripped the bed. I'll clean the upstairs then re-make the bed, but I'll wait till tomorrow to wash the bedding as it's supposed to be a drier day 🤞
There is still a portion of yesterday's chicken stir fry left so I'll have that for tea, himself will probably have chicken and chips.
Right coffee break over, back to the grindstone 😁
Gers glad you're not hurting so much. Try to miss any potholes while you're out today.
TA it's very annoying about the rubbish. It's always the same ones who loose the contents and the bins end up going down the road, I've saved quite a few !
Hope everyone has a good Saturday whatever you're doing. Hugs to the poorlies and the family members.
Take care all

Morning everyone
The wind dropped here yesterday afternoon, then it poured with rain all night - it seems to be just a drizzle now. I've got my ironing and other jobs done while little one has played - she's now watching tv while I have my cuppa. She's happy it's raining as it means she can use her umbrella when we go down to mam and dads for lunch later - it changes colour when it gets wet.
She decided the other day she 'needs' to learn to read so I brought some books home from nursery to start her on...after 5 minutes she declared 'Granny I can read now!'
Carolbee - I really like Banksy's work and have a few prints in my hallway. I would love to see a 'real' one.
Snoozer enjoy your trip away
Right we'd better get dressed. Hope everyone has a good day x11 -
Morning All
Epic rain during the night but the sun is shining at the moment although there are some big black clouds on the horizon so the washing can stay inside.
I've been for a swim (in the pool) this morning, first time since I got the lurgy. Really enjoyed it but didn't do the usual amount of lengths, decided to stop before I put myself off. Will go again tomorrow.
Glad you're not as sore today Gers, it'd be a job to avoid potholes here!
Enjoy your pamper session Coxy.
I make Twinks' hobnobs every time the DGC come, DGS gets very miffed if there aren't any!
Shopping done, stocked up on a few things (and remembered to use my Nationwide card for the cashback). Time for a rest!
Have a good weekend, take care. XX
