It still takes a wee while to get to the toilet and back though much better than this time last week.Storm Otto soon fizzled out here yesterday, I think that the worst of it was overnight as my garden furniture is scattered around. Today is yet to develop properly, perhaps it'll be calm and dry.My only plan is to do some shopping, my veggie stores are right down. I'm hopeful that driving will be relatively pain-free apart from the bumpy bits. Yesterday I put on a white washing load which needs to be all put away soon, probably after my second coffee.I hope that everyone is doing well or getting better. Happy Saturday to all.12

Good morning, thanks for starting Gers, I'm glad you are feeling a bit better.
Storm Otto was over here by about 2pm, like you say the worst was during the night. There was rubbish all over the little park opposite our house, someone's recycling bin must have blown over, but one of the council workmen arrived and picked it all up.
We delivered the shopping to our friends, stayed for a chat, and were home by 12.30.
I could do with a small shop myself, I'll pop to Aldi probably.
Hope everyone is all right, take care folks.13 -
Morning folks and thanks GERS. That blasted wind was back howling away through the night and apparently it's forecast to stay around for a few days. My garden will be awash with other folks' rubbish by then. I keep asking myself why, when gales are forecast, don't folk make sure their bins are secure! The contents of numerous recycling bins was blowing down the road yesterday and as usual it veered off and into my garden. Grr!! Rant over!
No plans for today but I have a bit of ironing to do and then I am considering (only considering!) resuming my prune of the wardrobes. I got as far as de-cluttering lots of bags and scarves a couple of weeks back and then the job stopped.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies and recovering. And the MIA. Take care all and stay safe xx

Morning all. Looks a bit damp and cloudy outside but the temperature is meant to be going up to a high of 13 today but I'll believe it when I don't feel the need to put the heating on for as long as usual. DH has just gone out the door to do some work that can only be done when there are no students around at the weekend so a bit of overtime will go into the pot! I'm going to make some Twinks or hobnobs depending on whether you remember the lady who first put the recipe on here (I think I have that right). I've got some cooking chocolate somewhere so I'll add that to some of the biscuits when they've cooled. Apart from that I'll put a wash on and later settle down to a footie match that is on TV at lunchtime as the team that is playing is a team I supported when I was young before I moved down to Kent from London. Hope everyone has a good day.

Morning all, bit windy here, but then it always is here!
We live near Margate and been amused by the Banksy shenanigans. The biggest laugh we had was when a council officer said they always clear rubbish away quickly! Some think it’s graffiti, but I like them and the message behind was thought provoking.
anyway, OS stuff today includes yet more freezer diving, hopefully another month of using up will do it, in time to refill from allotment produce.
Bit of painting going on here, smallest bedroom getting a freshen up.
have a good day all, keep safe those affected by Otto.

Morning all and thanks for the start @Gers - glad you're on the mend x
Good to hear Storm Otto passed over quickly without too much damage.
My neighbour stayed until midnight so I'm feeling a little jaded this morning. We covered family/children/work/her ex/her ex/her ex/her ex...... She's understandably still very bitter, as would I be.
I'm off to FC shortly then having my eyebrows threaded and a haircut. Will go to see Puss in Boots later on my own as DH wouldn't want to see that, and he's away camping this weekend.
Food tonight is probably egg and chips - SW friendly of course!!
Have a good day everyone,
