Would that even be called a built under oven or a built in oven ?sheramber said:My built under oven doesn't sit in a unit. It fits in the gap between two units.
The hob fits into a space cut out of the worktop.
A built in oven is fitted in a high unit with the oven a eye level.
My oven is fitted the same as yours, between two units, but my hob is electric and does not reach the back of the worktop, hence a space is cut out of the worktop for it to sit in.0 -

Only have a single oven, so space works quite well.
Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

If i removed the oven I could fit a door, a space between 2 units thats not possible0 -
A single built under oven is fitted in a unit, a double built under oven is fitted without a unit. They fit between base units on each side.It is a tight fit to fit a hob above the double oven especially with 30mm worktops. I had to lower my double oven down to fit the induction hob in.There is a gap of about 20mm from the top of the oven to the worktop but you can’t see it unless you get on your hands and knees.
