Time barred debts - Scotland

I had a DMP which due to health issues was unable to continue in 2019.
I haven't made any payments to creditors since then and am now receiving palative care.
When checking my credit files it shows that I am in default/non payment/ no data since 2017 for my debts.
Most debts have changed hands between several debt collection agencies several time since 2017.
Can I send creditors a "time barred " letter?
