Car Number plate double sided adhesive tape

After over 20 years the number plate on my car fell off today. It appears It was fixed in position using double sided adhesive tape. There are screw holes in the number plate recess but there’s no easy access to the other side for a plastic nut to be attached - presumably this is why they used the adhesive tape.
Does anyone know where strong double sided tape can be obtained?

Halfords probably

The holes if they are a small diameter are for self tapping screws

Thanks for the replies.
the pre drilled holes in the number plate recess aren’t that small. Perhaps these are for those one side push fit plastic fittings like for the lining in the boot ? However it’s doubtful these would be strong enough…
It’ll have to be the super powered dibble sided, then.

They squeeze up behind numberplate and boot lid, can all be done from outside the boot, come in different sizes, can be removed if necessary.

I used Scotch double sided tape when that happened to mine, but any will do as long as its weather resistant.

I had some left over heavy duty Velcro tape from another job. 

Car will be in the scrapper before the plate comes off.
