CPS Midlands / CIS Letter Before Claim

Options
I've been reading the forums since I started getting debt collection letters from CIS, a big thank you to the moderators for your continued effort and support fighting these crooks!

I received this LBC today and from what I read from others who have had this same letter, its a phony LBC which I can safely to ignore.

Hopefully others who get the same correspondence will see this and do the same.

I haven't bothered with a SAR but if those in the know feel that this is the safest course of action to take (in order to acknowledge this LBC) then I will do.

Yep, phoney LBC, in fact seems to come from CIS.

  • Thanks, In your opinion would there be any benefit to requesting a SAR in this instance?

If you are missing the PCN/reminder letters or don't think you've seen all their photos, or appealed and no longer have a copy, then yes.

Could this be considered as fraud? It is certainly attempting to get the victim to pay a disputed debt by fraudulently pretending to be an actual LoC.

Perhaps reporting it to the police Action Fraud website?
