How did you manage this on Income Support? I thought most CC companies wouldnt approve decent deals on benefits. I tried earlier this year and was turned down but managed to get an excellent LOB on existing CC.

Hi Shelley,
STOP the fags but if I was you I would wait till after Christmas. If you tried now you would have temptation chucked at you.
Its easier after the first 3 days but don't ever think you can have just one & get away with it, it don't work like that.Tallyhoh! Stopped Smoking October 2000. Saved £29382.50 so far!0 -

Advertise on freecycle.org and see if anyone has a working one they are giving away. You will need to know someone with a van who can help transport it.fallen_angel_shelley wrote: »yep the food bill is just for 2 of us, i really need to get a frezzer.

Either ask them to freeze the direct debit if that's how you pay, or if the bill has only just been issued, ask them to refund the money and pay it off the Next Bill.fallen_angel_shelley wrote: »just phoned water the board and turns out im in credit, £20 :j :j :j

Hi,
What sort of a student are you? Are you entitled to any loans or grants? I know these can often reduce the amount of benefit you are on but as you are able to receive £20 a week before it deducts from income support you could be better off. Can you get an adult learning grant etc?
A complete breakdown of where your current income comes from (what benefits) may help us to advise you better.
I second that your son should look for a part time job. Maybe Tesco if its close, its nice to earn your own Money. When I used to work there after a year we got a 10% discount card which I could sign over to my mum, that could help your costs. They where also really good with scheduling time off round exams etc.

I've just checked you applicable amount and as a lone parent with one child your should be receiving a minimum of £123.03 per week, to see your income over a month you times by 4.33, this should give you a monthly income of £532.72. Are you getting all the money you are entitled too?Debt at highest: approx £23,150 :eek:Debt at LBM: £18550:eek:Debt now: £18550 :rolleyes:0
