Could spray foam insulation cause problems after completion of sale?

I'm selling my late mother's property which has spray foam insulation in the attic. Contracts have been exchanged and surveys completed. The mortgage company have not raised any questions about the insulation.

If the surveyor didn't check the attic and the buyers discover the spray foam, what implications could that have?

Edit: the property is being sold with a Limited Title Guarantee.

None, unless you were asked on the forms 'is there any spray foam insulation' and you lied.

There was nothing in the property information form. And it's being sold with Limited Title Guarantee because I'm only the executor. I haven't seen the insulation myself.

  • No problem then. It's up to the buyer to ask or pick it up themselves. No come back on you in this case.
  • Poor buyer.

    But you're fine.
