I’ve paid for insurance for years , plumbing ,heating , electrics , boiler I pay £83 per annual month had a new combi boiler 2 years ago anyway ? I rang homeserve to tell them I’d got one radiator only getting hot at the top not the bottom I knew it was debris ? So rang them they stated it was £100.00 excess fee so I said if the engineer comes out and try’s to fix the problem and it doesn’t work will you replace the radiator he said yes so I paid it ? The engineer came out took it off the wall and tested the water in which I knew it would come back positive as I had a good idea it was debris ? He flushed it out and said if it’s not working to full capacity ring me and I will put job in after Christmas and book it in ? In the meantime because of the water sample they are now refusing to replace the radiator unless I have chemicals put into my whole system ? Every single radiator in my house are working red hot except one ? I’m not disputing I need to add chemicals but that’s advice ? It’s not what they said they’d do ? I’ve got proof with text from the engineeer and the mins from an email stating it’s the radiator not the whole system it states on the mins I which I’ve saved by the way it’s not your central heating system that needs flushing it’s the radiator where do I go from here i would have been better buying a radiator myself I’ve since cancelled all the insurance as it’s not fit for purpose just like throwing money away thankyou any info of what to do next

Is there anything in your policy about debris, flushing the system and chemicals?
Complaints procedure here
https://www.homeserve.com/uk/contact-us/send-us-complaint
If you don't get where you want to with that then as it's an insurance product you can raise a case with the financial ombudsman.0 -
Check your T&C's then put a complaint in if needed.
Say to them when they replace the radiator you will pay for the chemical to go into the system whilst they do the radiator. See what they say to that?FTB - April 20200
