That seems an incredibly high price for what is effectively a temporary glass outbuilding, but of course it could be a huge conservatory.

I echo a previous poster's comments about ensuring you cancel for the right reason, which is that they've breached their contract with the new unreasonable price increase.  If you cancel through "choice", you may be liable for some surveyor and admin costs.
They have said its largely brick with a solid roof, its probably closer to a sun room that a conservatory.

I will now send another email confirming our right to cancel within the 14 day cooling off period and hope that we receive our deposit back in full shortly.
    Thank you everyone.
    Have a great evening

Make sure you haven't signed anything taking away the 14 day cooling off period in exchange for them starting the process sooner.
A consumer can't sign away the cooling off period, they can only request work starts during the cooling off period leaving them liable for to pay for any aspects of the service received between the service starting and the cancellation being made.

I understand that may eat into (or all of) the OP's deposit depending upon how much it was and what's been done but requesting the service begin during the cancellation period wouldn't force them to continue with the full contract :)
