@rally8765 yes I have seen the same! My valuation was today but I’ve not received any updates to suggest the report has been received yet… I expect that will come either tomorrow, Saturday or Tuesday next week (given the bank holiday). I have prepared myself for bad news given the property is in a state of disrepair and the valuation won’t be straight forward. Fingers crossed you hear back tomorrow and it’s good news! Most people applying with nationwide seem to receive an offer quite shortly after the valuation is accepted

@stedon@rally8765 any updates for either of you today? We were at similar stages of the application process with nationwide when I checked the forum yesterday. I received three texts from nationwide this morning confirming that they had received my valuation report, reviewed and approved it, and that they’ve issued me with a mortgage offer! Hope the two of you also have some good news today!

@rolo267 That’s fantastic news and glad you got the offer now.

In my case I haven’t got any news as of yet unfortunately. Hoping they don’t come back saying the valuation was below the asking price.

How long did it take for you from application to offer?

@rally8765 that was definitely a concern of mine too when I applied for my mortgage as I am purchasing a probate property that is in need of a full renovation. I did not expect things to be as straightforward as they have been. My timeline is below:

Weds 17th May - application submitted via mortgage advisor and text from nationwide to confirm received

fri 19th may - notification from credit karma that nationwide had conducted a hard credit search

saturday 20th may - notification from credit karma that another hard search had been conducted by nationwide

Tuesday 23rd may - text from nationwide confirming valuation booked for 25th

today 26th may - three texts from nationwide one after the other - valuation report received, reviewed and accepted, mortgage offer issued.

It took 8 days (if you include Saturdays) to get from application to offer.

I really hope you get some updates soon! Have you tried contacting nationwide to ask?

Thanks for the timeline, it looks very similar to mine though I applied two days later. It looks like my valuation was booked earlier than yours, but then yours was assessed faster.

What number do I call to check progress and will they talk to me even though I applied through a broker?

@rally8765 I think you can contact them for updates regardless of whether you applied via a broker or direct. I didn’t try it myself but have read others on this forum that did, and were able to get an update from nationwide directly. I would just call through customer services and ask.. there’s a number on the bottom of their mortgages help page: 03301 731 232. Let us know when you do hear back!

@rolo267 We had a message from broker yesterday asking to provide bank statements as these weren't asked for by broker when application was submitted and NW requested them (assume as we are FTB and 95% LTV this is standard procedure). Just had a text to say valuation received and will be reviewed in next couple of days.

    Congrats on getting your offer!

Thanks, turns out they want another payslip (for May) which I thankfully have. I assume it’s gonna go be mid next week before I hear again given it’s a long weekend.

The good thing is they didn’t mention anything about the valuation being a problem. Touch wood this is it and next week I’ll have some good news.

@rally8765 just out of interest, did the information about them wanting another payslip come through your broker or through ringing nationwide directly? Hoping for good news for you soon

I thought I’d give my broker a call before trying NW. That’s when they said NW got back in touch and wanted another payslip to confirm my OT payments. I wonder how long before I called did NW get in touch though. I’ll give the broker a call on Tuesday afternoon too just in case.
