Life Insurance

Hi
I'm looking for Life Insurance and wondering if anyone knows of any policies that go beyond age 90?
All the ones I have found seem to stop at age 90?
Also are there any that act as a saving plan, so you can withdraw if you don't need the life insurance?
Thanks
Nigel

you can withdraw but it's almost certainly not the best way to save intentionally.

    Whole of life assurance plans.

No. (caveats apply).   These were known as endowment policies.  However, with the introduction of ISAs (or PEPS before that), the endowment policies were not tax efficient.

It is cheaper to have the life assurance seperate as you pay less for that element and then pay an amount to the ISA or pension.    The combined total would be less than what you would have paid for an endowment policy on a like for like basis.

Why do you need life assurance to 90?  The vast majority of the population cease to have a life assurance need after retirement.
