Does anybody ever use their PC to view live feed from a Tapo cam, i have looked at some complicated videos on youtube about it.
I was hoping to view from a PC in another location without using the phone app.

I use Bluestacks (which is free) to view/control a Tapo camera from a Windows PC.
Apologies if I'm telling you stuff you already know, but when I last looked this was the situation...- The Tapo App will only run on Android phones or iOS phones.
- But you can install Bluestacks on a Windows PC and it will emulate an Android phone (i.e. Bluestacks will pretend to be an Android phone, but running on your Windows PC)
- So after installing Bluestacks on your PC, you can then install the Tapo App on top of Bluestacks
- And then you can run the Tapo App and get all its functionality on your Windows PC
It all worked fine first time for me. (But there's a slight time lag for functions like 'pan and tilt', if your camera supports them. But that might be because of slow internet.)
There are other Android phone emulators which you can install on a Windows PC instead, and they'll probably work equally well (or maybe even better!)
Here's a random website I found that seems to have a reasonable set of instructions: https://cctvapp.net/en/2023/02/03/install-tapo-camera-viewing-software-on-pc-laptop/
