Our building company has recently gone bust and we are trying to claim back the deposit we paid via credit cards. We split the deposit over 4 different cards. Do we put in a claim for whole building deposit amount (under each card)  or just what we have paid per card?

Section 75 covers the whole amount, so one would do it, though you may want to hedge your bets and double up until you get a positive reponse, but obviously only claim once.

But the far easier and quicker route is a simple chargeback on each card.

Is all the money lost been paid by card? If so then skip the long process of a S75 and simply put a chargeback on each card

Just what is/was the total amount of the build?

If over £30K. There is not S75

As above. If all you have lost is the deposit. A simple chargeback on each card for the amount taken.
