Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Very dark damp start to the day.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was smoked sausage and mushroom pasta in creme fraiche sauce. Tonight I'm not sure but will sort later.
Work wasn't too bad, hoping today will be ok. My last day until Monday.
Keep safe and well x

Good morning, thanks for starting NLMC.
I came downstairs at 5.30 am to find Dh trying to sleep on the sitting room sofa under a heated throw. He'd been up even earlier than me, couldn't sleep because of his aches and pains, and was restless, so he'd come downstairs.
He won't take any painkillers, though, so while I appreciate his thoughtfulness in coming downstairs because of not wanting to wake me up, I wish he would take a couple of painkillers. It would ease it a bit.
We were going to go to Alnwick Garden today, but if he doesn't feel up to it we'll just go another day.
Yesterday was a quiet day, just did the usual jobs.
Hope everyone has a good day today, thinking of our poorly people.
Take care folks.12 -
I''ve just read back ( why don't I do it before I post in the first place) and was sorry to see that you'd had a fall Gers.
I hope you'll soon be feeling better.

Morning folks and thanks NMLC. The mornings are getting lighter by the day now, the blinds are getting opened earlier and earlier. Spring must be on its way.
I have the excitement of cleaning the kitchen and bathroom this morning. Such fun. And I really must clean the dw filter to add to the excitement!
I made my planned little bus ride into town yesterday and got all the bits I wanted (and more!) There are still shops with so few customers in them I wonder how they keep going. It's sad to see.
Have a good day folks and ((HUGS)) for the poorlies and recovering. GERS you sound to be on the mend albeit slowly. Baby steps and you will get there. NAN good to have you back but sorry you have all been ill. Take care all and stay safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"11 -

Morning folks. Thanks Scarlet, I still feel embarrassed about it! 😳 Some men have a thing about not taking painkillers, maybe it's the stiff upper lip attitude which is lingering around.
After another quiet day yesterday I'm beginning to move more freely. The bruised area is less painful whilst the ribs are still making me wince when I cough or do a sudden movement. Importantly, I can get into and out of bed much easier, it's less of a performance than earlier in the week. 🎉
I found myself riveted to the news in the late morning then got bored with the rolling nature of the reporting. Eventually I went upstairs. By 6 o'clock my eyes were closing so I let them. Luckily I only had a nap then.Today I'm having wee solar panels retro-fitted to the blinds in my bedroom and living room. The original one in the bathroom has been so successful that it makes sense to add them on to the rest. All these rooms face south so can harvest even a weak sun and save my electricity bills a bit.Maybe I'll try to venture out later. There's a fierce storm forecast for tomorrow which'll keep me indoors. I need some fresh air.Meanwhile, my thoughts are with our poorlies. Thanks for all the good wishes coming my way. Happy Thursday to all.13 -
Morning all. I agree, nice to see the mornings getting lighter, earlier. Roll on Spring. Not going into work today as I'm joining the poorly list! Been having shooting pains in the back of my knee the last few days (have arthritis in it already) and overnight I must have done something to it while asleep as it really hurts now and am hobbling about. I'll try to do a bit of housework while I'm home but it'll probably just be a bit of dusting and I'll keep taking some ibruprofen and painkillers. Sausages, jacket potatoes and baked beans for dinner.

Morning all
Blowing a gale here and raining, would much rather stay indoors but I am off to collect my private client today I will take him to his work for a few hours and then do some shopping on the way back I only need a couple of things but he loves the shop and uses the makaton sign for shop all day to make sure we are going !
Had another nice day yesterday and my client asked me if he could come and live at my house which is such a nice compliment, he managed the long walk too so I bought him some chocolate buttons as a treat he was going to have them while watching tv in the evening.
Chicken curry and rice for dinner tonight a nice quick meal, I will be shattered by the time I finish later, I am really looking forward to a day off tomorrow !
I was thinking about Bella I’ve not seen her around for a while I hope she is ok xx
Have good days all and take care xx13 -
Morning from a soggy mehefinland.. where did the sun go ..again!
Well today will be a rest day from battling with the brambles.. I think I am winning but they are spiteful beasties and I am well prickled! The small (ish) bonfire I had in the field soon put paid to them. Fairy pony very intrigued as to what I was doing, and tried to pinch bits off the pile. She soon scarpered when I lit up though! Considering she is the farrier's pony who came to us as a companion, so by inference should be used to smoke, she is a real wuss if there is any about. So much so that if one of the others is being hot shod she will hide in the back of the stable and make huffing noises.
Tonight we are having some friends over for a takeaway Chinese. She lost her sister 3 weeks ago and is very down, so hopefully a change of scene and some good food will cheer her a little.
All means I shall have to get the vacuum cleaner out (not Hoover..other brands are available) and give it a good bottoming as my old Mum used to say. So I had better crack on soon
Hugs and spoons as always
Mehefin
