Many now use sticky-back vinyl to spruce up their kitchen cupboard doors, and other furnture.
It's often referred to a 'wrapping' them.
It can be a bit tricky to get right but if you work carefully and take your time it looks very effective.
There are many coulors and finishes, wood and marble being the most popular, followed by plain greys.
Look on Amazon, there are photos in the reviews of what others have done.

Had all the door & drawer fronts for my kitchen from them. I went for a simple slab design. After six years, they are still looking OK apart from the doors either side of the oven and a drawer front above a plinth heater - The vinyl wrap does not like being near a source of heat.

The plan is to use an air frier for most meals, so the oven will get very little use, but a very good point, and something to be wary of, thankyou.

My in laws had replacement doors.  God knows how much they paid - the majority of the cost in a kitchen can often be the doors themselves, but I hate it.  You can see the carcass between the gaps in the replacement pieces - it's only a couple of mm and probably exacerbated by having darker doors on white units, but it doesn't look quite right.

There's some things that look a bit odd where they didn't have a perfect solution for an open shelved corner cabinet, for example.

If the doors are shaker style or similar, there's really nothing wrong with painting them yourselves.  You usually pay more for hand painted shaker kitchens, after all!
I can imagine just what you mean! I think you can get rolls of iron on tape that you can put onto the facing edges of the carcasses to make them bland in with the new door colour 👍

We redid our utility room doors , worktop and sink after about 25 years, had made to measure doors from.....

     kitchendoorworkshop.co.uk

white shaker style, 9 doors, were very reasonably priced.  I think they do plinths etc too.

You can get a heat deflector fitted to either side of the integrated oven to reduce the risk of damaging adjacent doors.
e.g. https://www.diy.com/departments/goodhome-grey-stainless-steel-effect-mild-steel-heat-deflector-l-595mm/3663602643548_BQ.prd Now have a pair fitted to my oven, and they do seem to have prevented further damage to the vinyl wrap.
