Carers allowance earning query

Hi can anyone help? Have just been made redundant so will receive a double pay packet end of February with holiday pay due etc
concerned this will take me over the weekly earnings limit.
i have been working 12 hours per week or less for the past year (but some months considerably less and paid monthly) annual pay currently stands £5000 for the tax year 22/23 including this final pay
would making a lump sum payment of £1000 into a SIPP take me below the earnings limit?
regards Tom

If your earnings are sometimes more than £132 a week you might still be eligible for Carer’s Allowance. Your average earnings may be calculated to work out if you’re eligible.
Your earnings are any income from employment and self-employment after tax, National Insurance and expenses.
Expenses can include:
- 50% of your pension contributions
- .............................................
