Moving - need urgent advice. Thanks!!!!

I may be moving to a new build and would need gas and electricity at both the old and new properties for about a month as the move would be over the Christmas period which always complicates things!

I am currently with British Gas and pay weekly by card for Gas and have an electric prepayment meter with NPower.

I know you will tell me off about my current suppliers and I would like to change them but I need the move and subsequent informing of suppliers to go as smoothly as possible as I'm not very good dealing with stress!!!

How do I go about things?

Phone customer services for your present supplier tell them what you want and the relative addresses they will bill you for your old address when you have sent in the final reading.
I have never had a problem they deal with thousands of moves so relax and let them do it .
Make a note of the reading when you move out and at the new place when you start using the gas/electric.
